But In Those Days

The old pastor made it a practice to visit the church’s Christian school one day a week. He walked into the fourth-grade class, where the children were studying the states, and asked them how many states they could name.

Four Best Places to Live

Hey everyone and we are still social distancing and yes COVID-19 pandemic is still with us.  How is everyone feeling?  Are you ready for this to be over already?  I sure am!

This Sunday our service will be Online again on Facebook Live.  This Sunday I would like to start a new sermon series, “Four Best Places to Live.”  Where does the Bible say we should dwell?  We’re going to look at the Four Best Places to Live according to God and Scripture. The criteria are these:

No Dogs Allowed

There’s a guy with a Doberman pinscher and a guy with a Chihuahua.  The guy with the Doberman pinscher says to the guy with the Chihuahua, “Let’s go over to the restaurant and get something to eat.”

The guy with the Chihuahua says, “We can’t go in there.  We’ve got dogs with us.”

The guy with the Doberman pinscher says, “Just follow my lead.”

They walk over to the restaurant, the guy with the Doberman pinscher puts on a pair of dark glasses, and he starts to walk in.  A guy at the door says, “Sorry, Mac, no pets allowed.”

Christ Is Risen

Christ is risen!  This proclamation isn’t just an event that we celebrate on Easter Sunday.  It is our Christian battle cry!
Christ is risen!  Notice the present tense is.  This isn’t an event in the past.  It is an ever-present happening that fuels our living and vibrant faith!  Christ is alive and working through you and me!  Christ is!  Right now!  Hallelujah!

We hope and pray that you all are being safe and that everyone is in good health. Due to the recommendations by the CDC and the local authorities, we regret to inform you that the physical church facility will remain closed for at least until April 30. We will, however, continue to hold worship services and other events and classes online on Facebook. [Also working on another possibly way so more people can tune in.]
